  • Update: Great News!

    red apple

    Dear Friends and Readers,

I apologize for being MIA and not updating. The last month has been extremely stressful for me with applications and interviews. I have been crazy nervous and worried for the last few weeks... and these emotions have done my creativity no good! But I have good news now!

Today I finally found out the results of my hard work. I have been accepted into a one-year hospital internship program for Fall 2010. This highly competitive internship program is required before nutrition student graduates can write the national exam to become certified as a Registered Dietitian.

Last year, I had really low confidence in myself. I've heard of several students who had A+ averages but didn't even get a single interview. That's scary! Because I definitely do not have an A+ average.

Grades are not everything though. I am really passionate about nutrition communications so that is why I started this blog last year. I really want to thank all my Xanga friends and readers. Why? Believe it or not, you guys were part of my resume and cover letters. Your comments and support have inspired me to work hard on this blog. Although yes, I wanted to use this blog to pad my resume, I do not want to throw it away now. I've had a lot of innovative and new ideas to expand this blog, but I haven't really had the confidence to push through it. However, I definitely will be continuing to update! And I will continue to share with you everything in my journey of learning. I will soon be a dietetic intern and in 2011, I will write the exam to become a Registered Dietitian. This is a dream come true! The start of my career... Thank you so much for being there for me and just reading what I have to say!

    Much love,

Elizabeth Lee, soon-to-be dietetic intern and future RD
