  • Music Video By My French School

In my French-exchange program, we had three hours of class per day and then two elective classes in the afternoon. My electives were conversation practice and French singing class. The teacher of the singing class planned a "lipdub" for the song "Je T'aime Comme Un Fou" (I love you like a fool).

It's all one shot! As soon as our individual lines were filmed, we had to dash to the auditorium for the final group shot at the end of the song. Here is the video on Youtube (I am at 1:41):

This was filmed four times! I was so tired from running across half the building! But tons of fun for sure. I dressed up as a "French nerd" with huge glasses and my trusty French dictionary at hand:

My friend, Andrew, is in the above photograph. Andrew is an environmental sciences student. We talked a lot about how good health relates so much to the preservation of the environment. I'm trying to learn more about local farming and sustainable agriculture. In school, I mostly learned medical/clinical stuff. I just got my introductory package for my internship program too. It came with a 6-page long drug chart...  Anyway, I invited Andrew to collaborate with me and write something for you guys. Hopefully will be awesome!

You can see how the lipdub was filmed in this additional video:

I wish that I took part in singing musicals back in high school. I have definitely changed a lot since my high school years and am more self-confident and carefree. I hated theatre back then because I was so embarrassed to act or be stupid in front of other people.

I realize now that you look more stupid when you don't try or participate. And then you miss out! Have some fun and make the best of what life throws at you!
