Start with a Healthy Breakfast - My First Youtube Video!
I have uploaded my first nutrition education video to Youtube! It's about starting your morning with a healthy breakfast. I was reading the free newspaper on the transit this morning, and they talked about the importance of breakfast too! Here it is in 1 min and 5 seconds:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LufLNX3VsIoThis is my first video, so it has been quite interesting editing and filming it. Probably the most embarrassing part to film was the last scene because I had to do it outside of my house. I saw people drive by in their cars and actually stick their head out the window and stare at me! Another weird/funny thing is that when I was editing last night, I kind of tripped out from watching myself make an omelette in 8 seconds. Haha! It's because it took me way longer to complete that footage than 8 seconds! So much work goes into making videos that I never realized before.
My goal for my videos is to establish a simple message. This video is quick, fast-paced and to the point! Hope you guys enjoy it!

That was a REALLY well done video! That was your first for real? Looks like someone found another talent!
Your hair is awesome btw.
Very well done.
@Roadlesstaken - Thanks Alex! First for real, other than the canto vlog and some other random stuff on my facebook. I'd bet that I spend less time on my hair than you do! Would you believe that I don't own a hair brush? Btw, Sonychak told me he has met you three times now and he made me super jealous...
Great job! I'm not even exaggerating when I say I really loved that! It looked amazing :)
@NikBv - Thanks hun! Was a bit nervous to upload and release this! I have to get over my embarrassments and learn not to care about what other people think.
I agree with Alex -- that was a very fun and effective video! Very to-the-point! I'm glad you didn't lecture to us in a monotone voice about the merits of eating breakfast :P
Amazing job! I loved it. It was really good and fun to watch. Can't wait to see the next one!
Oh by the way, I transferred to a different University so I'm finally starting to take courses for my Dietetics major. I'm really excited!
@Senlin - Yea, I definitely don't want to be like the other nutrition vids on Youtube that are just 10-15mins straight of just talking! Fun is definitely a goal! Thx for the feedback :)
@teeraljannah - Awesome! I'm so happy to hear that! Future Teeraljannah, RD! Let me know if there's anything I can help or support you with. Nutrition can be a stressful major if you need to compete for an internship!
@theHealthRabbit - Well, it turned out well, so you needn't worry, I think.
Wonderful. It was cute, down-to-earth, informational and relevant. I would definitely be interested in watching more videos from you.
great video! very cute but very useful as well!
@methodElevated - Thanks for the recommend and for your support!!! :D
This is really professional! Dang! I'm impressed. I want to hear you talk next time ;) haha
@davidmiya - Yea for my next vid, I'm planning on talking! This was a good video to make my first coz I'm kinda nervous to talk/act, and this vid required mostly pictures! I was originally planning a voiceover, but realized this vid is too rapid for voice! Thx for your feedback David! Let's make a dental video. P.s. I came back to Vancouver to find that my electric toothbrush ran out of batteries. My life is very sad now. lol j/k
Stop lying! This was NOT your first video! YOU MADE IT TO GOOD!! I love it! Heck, I want to try that omelette thing! What was it? Eggs, milk & peppers? That look good too! I also like the granola, fruit & yogurt thing. I like granola but only certain kinds. I had one that made me feel like I was eating tree bark but it I had something with it, it probably wouldnt be too bad.
I'll see you at the Oscars!!
Well done! ;P
wow i liked this as an intro. beats mine haha... and you said you were scared of the sony software =P you look like you did a good job with it.
well now time to go on youtube and subscribe.
I wouldn't believe this is your first video, looked very pro!
Hum, finally you're doing your first video after talking and thinking about it. That's really awesome that you finally did it! Nothing is better than a quick, fast-paced and to the point video! Big props!
That was informative and really. well. done! :D So cuuuute!
Congratuuuulations :)
Wow, I watched this without audio because I'm at work and it still looked pretty dope. Good stuff!
@theHealthRabbit - One of the hardest things in the world has got to be the getting used to seeing yourself on screen/hearing your own voice coming from speakers. Good job with this one.
I loved it! Thanks for the tips! You are so good at what you do!
